Romania: Romanian environmental volunteers have recycled 500,000 plastic bottles to create the world’s largest t-shirt.

This t-shirt is specially designed for environmental awareness and the importance of recycling. The total length of the T-shirt is 109 meters and the width is 74 meters. However, the Guinness Book of World Records has now declared it after regulatory action.

The t-shirt is modeled after the Romanian football team but also features the colors of the Romanian national flag. At the end of March, it was laid out on a rugby field, photographed by a drone.

Especially children and youth participated in the production of t-shirt which mainly had to convey the awareness of recycling. Around 120 volunteers helped lay and fold T-shirts at the rugby stadium. On the other hand, the length and width of the t-shirt is verified with the help of special equipment.

Apart from journalists, more than 2000 fans were also invited to the t-shirt unveiling ceremony. If this giant t-shirt is cut, 1200 normal size t-shirts can be made from it.
