Katy Perry arrived in Washington D.C. this weekend to witness a historical event. The “Firework” singer and her boyfriend; fellow musician John Mayer, attended Monday’s Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama.
The musical couple arrived in style, with Perry donning a more demure look than we’re used to seeing. On Saturday the star performed at the Kids’ Inaugural Concert, where she took the stage in a sexy American Flag inspired costume.
For today’s ceremony however, she made sure to tone it down, and chose a rather chic ensemble. The 28-year-old braved the cold in a black and orange striped overcoat, knee high stiletto boots, and a black fedora. Perry accessorized her look by adding a tan belt, dark shades and an accented maroon purse.
While her look isn’t what you would expect at a political event, it actually worked. What makes this look perfect is that an everyday person (non-celeb) can actually wear it.
