The youngest Kardashian sister; Khloe, was out in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, May 22, promoting one of her business endeavors (for the 21 and over crowd)- as well as her slimmed down, summer-ready body!

Khloe, 28, looked amazing not to mention ready for Memorial Day Weekend and its festivities, as she posed for pictures in a strapless red and white striped dress and Grecian-inspired heels designed by big sis Kim’s beau; Kanye West.

The nautical theme/colors of the dress make the former X Factor co-host’s outfit a great option for Memorial Day Weekend. But while Khloe’s look is a bit dressy for most outdoor activities, a similar version of it can work quite well for: bbq’s, parties, festivals, you name it!

Singer? Check. Actress? Check. Published author? Soon enough. It’s all in the works for Glee actress, Lea Michele. The 26-year-old just announced the news that she recently signed a book deal with Harmony Books, anticipating a publish and release date for 2014.

Loosely titled Brunette Ambition, Harmony Books has dubbed the actress’ literary work a combination of memoir, style guide and advice. Although one might be able to infer from the title that Brunette Ambition is about the starlet’s rise to the top, Lea says that actually isn’t the case.

“There wasn’t a guidebook when I was growing up, that detailed everything I would need to do, and know, to get where I am today.” Adding, “But I believe I can write one of sorts: not a how-to-make-it-in show-business book, but a guide to harnessing tenacity, passion, enthusiasm, and hard work to make your dreams come true.”

Lea, who plays Rachel Berry on the Fox sitcom, will soon join fellow co-stars Chris Colfer (Kurt) and Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) as published authors. What a feat for the show!

All good things must come to an end, and such is the case with Justin Bieber and his pet Capuchin monkey, Mally.

The teeny tiny monkey was seized by German customs officials in Munich, Germany on March 28, after the pop star failed to provide requisite papers for Mally during a stop on his European “Believe” Tour.

Since the “Baby” singer’s little friend was taken from him, he’s had six weeks to provide authorities with the necessary paperwork to regain ownership. Apparently, this hasn’t been high on the singer’s to-do list because on Tuesday, German authorities issued an order transferring ownership of Mally over to the country, after Justin missed the deadline.

Over the past 6 weeks, Justin’s former pet has been cared for at a Munich animal shelter- where the staff has been preparing him to be placed in a new home with other Capuchin monkeys. Germany’s environment minister, Peter Altmaier has said Mally will be relocated to a new home “where he can live safely and in the company of others.”

Officials announced on Tuesday that the monkey would most likely be placed in a German zoo, but that the exact location would not be disclosed for security purposes. In the meantime, Bieber is also expected to receive a bill for Mally’s care; for which he has another 6 weeks to provide payment.

On Thursday, (May 16) the boys of One Direction announced some very exciting news for their fans across the world.

Beginning in 2014, Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry and Louis will head out on their new, world-wide stadium tour- titled ‘Where We Are’, the same title off their upcoming album.

19-year-old Niall hinted at the tour when he tweeted last week that “the most exciting 1D news ever” would soon be revealed. In a separate press conference, Niall’s bandmate Louis addressed the news saying, “There will be a new album this year.” “It’s taken a slightly rockier tone.”

Along with that new album comes a new tour. So far, tour dates for the ‘Where We Are’ shows in Latin America, Ireland, and the UK have been set. US tour dates are expected to follow soon.

So what’s different about this album and tour versus 2012′s Take Me Home album and tour? Liam Payne says, “We made it a lot more edgier.” While Harry Styles added, “It’s important the fans and everyone who comes to see the show know it’s going to be much bigger with new songs…A completely different tour.”

Edgier and rockier? I’m wondering, will girls that are used to hearing swoon-worthy lyrics like, “Baby you light up my world like nobody else”, like the new/different music the boys are putting out?

Justin and Selena dated for a couple of years before becoming an on again/off again couple, closely watched by both their fans and the media.  In recent weeks, the couple met up in Europe where Justin posted a photo of Selena kissing his back, while he played the piano, before he instantly deleted it. They did not sit together during the Billboard Awards but ran into each other backstage.

Selena greeted Justin with a kiss on the cheek, while Taylor stuck her tongue out and giggled like a school girl. Of course, if you ask her about sticking her tongue out, she will deny it and claim she was talking about Harry Styles something else.

The 2013 Billboard Music Awards took place Sunday, May 19 2013 live in Las Vegas.   The awards show had more stars than the American flag.

Both the presenters and performers made some interesting fashion choices – both good and bad.  Check out what our teen contributor, Lauren, had to say about the fashion at the awards show.

Selena Gomez wore an Atlier Versace gown that had a white base with neon green, pink and yellow piping that was inspired by glowsticks. IMO, I think she looked like she came back from a block party and competed in the toilet paper mummy contest and won some glowsticks while she was at it.

Kacey Musgraves, a country singer who performed her hit single “Merry Go Round” during the show. She looks absolutely STUNNING in her tight, black, lace dress. I’m also loving her match-matchy lips and shoes!

The Band Perry walked the blue carpet together at the awards show. The siblings – Kimberly 29, Reid, 24, and Neil, 22 – performed their hit song “Better Dig Two” during the show. Kimberly looks flawless with her lacy diamond and pearl encrusted gown. She also is holding a teeny snake print metallic clutch that matched perfectly with her stunning gown.

Jennifer Morrison, the 34-year-old Once Upon a Time actress, wore a sheer Kristian Aadvenik dress for the big awards show!  Jennifer accessorized her look with an Edie Parker clutch, Amrapali ring and earrings, and a Le Vian ring. OHMYGOD. This looks terrible! She has such a pretty body and this is what she chose to wear. What was she thinking?

Get the District 12 look when COVERGIRL unveils its new Hunger Games: Catching Fire makeup collection; a first of its kind, this fall.

The beauty brand which hosts celeb spokesmodels such as Sofia Vergara, Ellen DeGeneres and Queen Latifah, recently singed a deal with the film to produce a line of cosmetics; titled the Capitol Collection- based on the second installment of the Hunger Games franchise: Catching Fire. This deal marks the first movie partnership for the beauty brand.

Make-up artists on set coincidentally use the brand’s products to transform Jennifer Lawrence into Katniss Everdeen, as well as the rest of the cast into their respective characters. COVERGIRL has referred to the on-set transformations as “luxurious, high couture looks.”

If the collection looks anything like Effie Trinket, I’m expecting bright, bold, dramatic hues. How exciting!

The Capitol Collection is expected to hit stores this fall, coinciding with the film’s November 22nd release date. So makeup lovers, you’ll have to wait just a bit longer…sigh. Ads for the collection are expected to be unveiled soon.

RiRi’s latest hairstyle is just in time for highlighting and tanning season. Can we say, “summer”? Known for a variety of hairstyles, this “bad girl” has rocked them all. Remember 2007′s razor cut bob during her “Umbrella” days? Or what about the half-shaved look that the Caribbean-born singer rocked back in 2009? Then there was the adorable, dark pixie cut that she showed off at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards. And who could forget that fire engine shade of red from November 2012?

Needless to say, the hair styles worn by Chris Brown’s former flame have been quite memorable. For now, the 25-year-old is going with a seasonally appropriate hue. And I’ve got to say, it looks great!

Teen Vogue‘s newest cover girl, Nicki Minaj discusses what life what like before she became famous. In the magazine’s June issue, which is available May 21, the Trinidadian-born, American rapper recalls her teenage years and casts similarities between the music industry and high school.

Nicki, Roman, or whichever personality fans of the crazy-haired rapper identify her with, grew up in New York’s Queens borough and attended Manhattan’s famed La Guardia High School.

Outspoken, with a vivacious personality to boot- Nicki tells the magazine, “I was a jokester. I let everything roll off my back.” “I always felt like I had other things going on in my life outside of school, like church and extracurriculars- I was even on the softball team.” At one point, the very unique 30-year-old has an admission in the interview, saying, “High school was the first time I felt like I really fit in. Everyone there was creative. For once, I didn’t feel like there was something weird about me.”

Something else Nicki recollects about high school? How eerily similar it is to the music industry, and the people that comprise it. “People treat this business like it’s high school. It can absolutely feel like one big popularity contest, and you know what? I can’t be bothered.” Adding, “I can’t allow myself to play ridiculous games with grown adults in the industry.”

Hmm, I wonder if that statement in any way references her frequent feuding with fellow American Idol judge, Mariah Carey?

Whether it was a dig or not, Nicki does raise a valid point: Sometimes maturity doesn’t always come with age.
