The Container Store is opening in Westbury, New York.
While I have heard about The Container Store, I never had the opportunity to actually go into one. That might be a good thing – since I attended an event at the store and seriously, could have spent a lot of money. The store and the products they offer are amazing.
Before getting a tour of the store, we learned some background about the company that opened their first store in 1978. 57 stores later, with 6 of them opening in 2012 alone, the store is a huge success, even making Fortune Magazine’s famous list of ’100 Best Companies to Work for in America’ for the past 13 years.
Taking a tour of the store, I realized there is no longer an excuse to be unorganized. There is a product for everything – from your home office, to your garage, to your kitchen. There is even a travel section and a gift wrapping section to wrap all of the amazing things you buy. Come holiday time – they expand their gift section with even more products.
As for the prices – if you can find the product in another store – it is the same price. A good example of this are the plastic carts you see at a lot of stores. If you think the product can be purchased for less, ask a sales associate and they will be sure to tell you how their product is different and dare I say, better.
Having problems figuring out how to maximize your closet space with shelving – no problem – you can call them and ask them for help. Just give them your closet measurements and they will provide suggestions. Like what you hear? Even better – someone can come and install what you order. How easy is that??
Whether you are heading back to college, are tired of seeing your kids legos all over the house or need a place to put your toothbrushes or makeup – The Container Store has something for you to organize it.
They are having a grand opening in Westbury, Long Island this weekend, August 11th and August 12th. The first 100 customers in the store who check in on Facebook at The Container Store will receive a $10 gift card to use in the store.
I was not paid for this review but was given lunch and a container of products.
