Bullied Grandma Bus Monitor Gets an ‘I’m Sorry’ From Teens

“The bullied bus monitor, ” Karen Klein, was given an “I’m Sorry” from three of the teen boys who were captured, on the now viral video, being beyond mean to the elderly woman.

One of the teens, Josh stated,

“I am so sorry for the way I treated you,” said in a statement issued by police Thursday to Anderson Cooper 360. “When I saw the video I was disgusted and could not believe I did that. I am sorry for being so mean and I will never treat anyone this way again.”

Another student, “Wesley,” also issued an apology,

“I feel really bad about what I did. I wish I had never done those things. If that had happened to someone in my family, like my mother or grandmother, I would be really mad at the people who did that to them.”

Wesley’s parents also issued an apology and have offered his services this summer.

The boys and their families are said to have received death threats.

A fundraiser was started with the goal of collecting $5,000, to give Klein a “dream vacation.” As of Thursday evening, donations had surpassed $440,000. Enough to retire.

The school has not said how the boys will be punished. A year without the bus? No school sports? What do you think is a “fair” punishment??
